We are currently seeking a motivated "Technical Consultant" to join our Implementation & Support Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Implementation & Support Department Manager. As part of the role, the Technical Consultant will participate in an on-call rotation and occasionally perform on-site visits to customer locations for implementation, troubleshooting, or support activities.
The responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the day-to-day administration and management activities of SWIFT and PayGate applications.
- Participating in implementation, upgrade, and patch installation activities for SWIFT and PayGate applications.
- Monitoring SWIFT and PayGate applications to ensure high availability.
- Identifying problems and participating in problem management/resolution by collecting and analyzing necessary logs.
- Collaborating with the development team for the testing of PayGate applications.
- Providing remote or on-site support services to our customers during business hours and after business hours (on-call rotation).
- Performing regular health checks on customer systems.
- Assisting with disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) solutions.
- Preparation of technical documentation and best practice guidelines.
- Providing technical guidance and best practice recommendations to customers.
Professional skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supporting multi-tiered applications or IT systems.
- Strong knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
- Good working knowledge of SQL Database Administration (querying, maintenance).
- A strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Fluent in English (Written and Spoken).
- Cyber security knowledge is an asset.
- UNIX / Linux operating systems knowledge is an asset.
